Winter is here and there is freezing outside. Days are short and dark and yet there isnít any snow here in southern Finland.
I had a huge urge to paint a frozen window one day. The trickiest part in the picture was the ice in the window. I had no idea how I could paint it. Studied from photo references what ice on the window looks like and I painted many fast pictures to try out different techniques to paint one. Best results I had with wet paint and a paper towel. Salt and acrylic paint I used only to strengthen the effect.
Iím pretty pleased how the picture turned out. The light in the picture especially, because itís still quite hard for me to get right.
