 Friends under a Rowan Tree Line-art version [link] Nini and Poku are best friends and I really wanted paint a picture of them having fun together. Rowan tree is one of my favourite trees. (The tree is called pihlaja in Finnish) I had a lovely idea of Nini and Poku sitting in a rowan tree eating berries. I like the way the line-art turned out. I especially like the background! I got exited about drawing the leaves and berries and I just kept drawing them. Result – a picture whit a level of detail that I don’t usually do. I feel proud.  The picture was slow to colour and I really feared all the time that I will mess it up. I coloured the background first. When I started to paint the leaves I noticed that the background behind the leaves was too light. Nini’s hair also was way too dark. I tried to fix them whit a photoshop a little bit after scanning. Hope you like it! |
